A Typical Sunday Morning in RE

1. Everyone starts in the Sanctuary at 11am, gathers up front for the Children’s Conversation at the appropriate time, then we proceed as a group over to the RE area.

2. We first assemble in one or two groups for a brief time of introductions and sharing Joys and Concerns.

3. Then we meet as one group to hear the story of the day.

4. Next they will break out for “expansion” activities which has been designed to work with the story of the day. Time permitting, they might rotate through two or three different activities of their choosing. They will have the opportunity here to create their own activity should inspiration strike!

5. At 12:05, they re-gather as a group for a few moments of sharing what they learned, closing comments and a closing ritual.

6. At about 12:15, the doors open for the parents.

7. We ask that all children be called for by 12:20 at the latest so that teachers will have time to clean up and join the rest of the Fellowship for conversation and snacks.

Our Special Place for Infants and Toddlers

We employ caregivers to supply loving care to our youngest UU’s from birth through three years old. They are provided with play, creative outlets, snacks and a warm, accepting atmosphere in which to begin their UU journeys. The Nursery is located  in the RE area which gives them an opportunity to participate in the full range of our RE offerings when appropriate for their age.
